A very nice surprise. Beautifully furnished house and rooms, great breakfast and a helpful and very kind owner. It's a bit more complicated to get to the place because of the narrow streets, but that's part of Italy. Definitely recommend.

The hotel owner helped us book the marble quarries tour, and our guide, Luciano (phone 335 7799 752), who showed us the quarries, was the best. He works there; his dad, granddad, and grand-granddad also worked in the quarries.

It’s located in small quiet camp, near the sea, the owner was really friendly (she did not speak English we managed to communicate via google translate :)).
A truly well-thought-out place with everything one might need during a stay. Common kitchens, a lot of bathrooms, a living room, and a drying room — everything comes with a nice view! The historic old town is so charming, and the hostel is just a short walk away from the castle. Massa is a great base for mountain trips and beach days. You can easily visit Pisa, Cinque Terre, Florence and much more by train.
Giorgio's house is very conveniently located to many trailheads in the Apuan Alps, including the Via Vandelli. It is a quiet location with a mountainous feel to it. Giorgio was very responsive and supportive during our brief stay in his house.
Very nice breakfast, great food, the owners were very friendly. Great hostesses. Loved the animals. Just like home. Quiet place. Love the fruittrees. Bathroom was nice. Beds great. They even had mosquito repellent for the room at night. Did not notice the mosquitoes. Pillows great. Great place to see the Carreras marble mountain. Not too far. Great roads.
