Absolutely loved my stay here ! Beautiful hosts inside and out. The property is gorgeous in a beautiful setting. Detached yet felt such a connection to the nature and the village. Great coffee and breakfast options each morning. Room was super clean and comfortable (mattresses are on the firmer side but that seems to be common), also beware of noise carrying over easily (I was jet lagged and on the phone all night not realizing my neighbors could hear me all too well). Great travel tips from the host. Oh and dinner was delicious, didn’t realize it wasn’t nightly otherwise I would’ve been a regular while in the area. Would absolutely need a return trip here! Don’t think twice about it. If you want an authentic experience this is it!!
And don’t be afraid of the drive or commute, if I did it so can you… ask your host they’re really helpful.

Location is away from the crowd in quiet town south of Bellagio. Town has its own ferry station - with limited schedule. There’s only 1 restaurant and a sandwich shop in the town, so you need to plan ahead a little. Also, be aware restaurant needs reservations and was closed certain days - so plan accordingly. Bellagio is 10-15 minute up and down hill walk away along busy main road, which can be a little scary.

It was cozy and lovely! Try to get an upstairs view room. Staff was helpful and very accomodating.

This apartment was beautiful! The thoughtfulness in everything didn’t go unnoticed. The warm lighting, comfortable bed, stunning windows with view, the spaciousness, the easy check in, the homey feel ~ it was perfect. We loved it!
It was close to walk to the ferry and visit Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna, and the streets felt quaint and quiet compared to the busier towns, which was nice to enjoy. We loved the restaurant Il Crotto, and the little grocer Il Buon Gusto!

It’s huge, light, modern, super clean and brand new. Big balcony with lake view as well as private garden, from where you can enter the hiking trail!

The room and facilities are very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent and Marco was a great host. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in a quiet area of the lake.
Great location, close by Varenna in a nice and quiet village. David is a great guy, really friendly and thinks with us in solutions. We took our own scooter with us and he maked a place in the parking where it could stand. The apartment is everything you need, we had a great time!
Caty and Carlo were great hosts. The apartment is large, has a decent view, and it is close to a breach with facilities. Pizza place is 12min away. There is a quiet restaurant next door, and was handy for setting off for trips round the lake.
This place is very nice - close to the lake (50 m), quiet. There is a new fridge, free wi-fi, private parking. When we stayed there, the weather was very hot - up to 38C, but it was still cool inside. Highly recommend it.
A very lovely one bedroom flat in a beautiful old bit of Lierna. Ivana, the owner, was very friendly and nice. She gave us a lift up from the railway station (via the supermarket) and took us back when we left. The apartment is very comfortable, perhaps a little cluttered, but in a homely way. Lierna is a great place to stay: cheaper and quieter than some of the very touristy places around, but well connected by train and ferry. It’s a very friendly place with good access to the lake and a very pretty beach.
