We had a fabulous stay unfortunately for only one night at these beautiful rooms in Gambase Terme. This is truly a 5 star property with everything you could possibly need . The owners are so friendly. Ricardo recommended a restaurant right next door and the food was devine! From lovely comfy bed to amazing shower we had a very restful night's sleep on our walk through beautiful Tuscany on the via Francigena.
If you want to stay in the quiet of this fabulous accommodation you will not be disappointed. San Gimignano is a stunning medieval town close by ..about 10 min by car so this would make a great base for travelling to such towns but is quiet and serene and away from the tourist trap that is San Gimignano.
Antonella made us a delicious breakfast in the morning which set us up for our walk.

We had a great time in Fattoria le caprine, we stayed there for a week and made it our base for the Tuscany trip. (There is plenty of space for Parking)
The farm is located 45m - 1h from Siena, Pisa & Florence, It's beautiful and quiet and we suggest you explore it yourself.
Their lodging area has 3 rooms with private showers and a shared kitchen space, which is great if you're planning to travel with a larger family or friends.
(When we stayed there we were the only guests there and had the whole place to ourselves =] )
Our room was big and comfy, we had a big sofa bed and a large double bed on the second floor, the shower was also big with great flow.
The breakfast is at their great hall where they showcase their wine and other products, it's also the place where they're having their wine & cheese tasting that we wholly recommend.
Michela and her family are friendly and welcoming they really love what they do, and they told us about their farm.

Very peaceful and quiet at night and felt safe as a solo traveller. The breakfast in the morning was also very good and a beautiful garden area with amazing views and places to sit and relax.

The property is located very close to many touristic attractions, easy to get around by car.
This is an amazing place to stay. I got there a little early, but the staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. The staff were polite and friendly, and the apartment is immaculately clean, spacious, quiet, and private but close to the centre of town and close to a supermarket. The hosts provided fruit, wine, tea, and other condiments. Good place to stay if you are walking the VF. Definitely recommended this place!
The location is in the Tuscan area in beautiful old stone house/s. We had sweeping views of the country and lovely green space to relax with a wine. The location is quiet and peaceful. Our apartment had a good size kitchen and comfortable beds and lounging area. It was a great location to base ourselves and go off for day trips around the country side, visit wineries and to see other villages and attractions -you definitely need a car if you want to make the most of it. We stayed for 4 nights and I could have stayed longer!
