This was a great for us. Travelling by motorcycle, this was nicely placed out of the way, and had a garage for the bikes.

Very clean, functional place. There’s a little kitchen, the bathroom area is not squeezed and not giving a sense of claustrophobia. The living room is spacious enough and there’s even a dining table big enough to accommodate six to seven people! And everywhere everything is pine wood construction - just simply fabulous. Truly feels like a mountain cabin with all the frills included.
The host,Marco, is absolutely warm, welcoming and very generous in his time spent in case you have questions or recommendations you are looking for. He provides the little things in the kitchen like salt pepper oil sugar tea coffee and so on. Things you dont need to worry about going to the shops first thing in the morning😀
The property has a deck that gives you a side view of the water falls which is the local attraction in this area of Chiavenna. There is a really great pizzeria just down the road from the cabin - called Pink Panther pizzeria. Really great pizzas and it is always busy there so you know it is popular with a lot if people. And finally there is a huge camping site close by to the cabin which could be a place to meet other people on holiday if you are a people person?
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
We liked the view and location, room equipment was new and clean. Delicious and varied breakfast with excellent coffee. A restaurant downstairs in the same building is also an asset. Quiet at night - perfect for sound sleep after a journey. A pity we discovered the window blinds in the morning, when they weren't of use anymore 😀 Bathroom also new and in very good shape.
B&B Ploncher is in the perfect spot to explore historic Chiavenna and surrounds. It is only a short walk to the train station. An excellent breakfast was supplied for each day. The room was very clean and had everything we needed, including a washing machine 😊
The room was lovely. It was a beautiful blend of ancient stone walls with modern luxurious touches such as high quality bedding and a coffee machine. The bed was really comfortable as was the furniture. In a great location within walking distance of many lovely eateries as well as natural wonders. Francesca was a wonderful host who provided very clear directions and explanations. Overall a fabulous place that will definitely revisit.
Nicely decorated small apartment, with bedroom, kitchen/sitting room and bathroom. All amenities available and very clean. Our apartment faced the shopping street. Another apartment faces the courtyard. WHen we left, we found that on the ground floor, there seemed to also be a little garden, but we did not use it.
The host was excellent and the breakfast was well organized, with fresh rolls in the morning. Location in the center of Chavenna was perfect. We could park our bicycles in a private garage for 10 euros/night at 5 min walk
Beautiful, so beautiful and quiet. Stunning location together with wonderful host and chef, Fabricio, who also became a friend over our 7 night stay. He did a great job in English despite this being, as he charmingly acknowledges, is his not so good language.
There's a rustic charm that may not be to everyone's taste. For us it was authentic and soulful.
