It's a family business; the host lady and her son were extremely friendly! They were very understanding with our late arrival/ check-in and the last minute change in our accommodation dates. The room (including the private bathroom) was very clean with sufficient supplies. The sheets and towels were regularly changed. The included breakfast was simple but did the job, and she tried to offer there something different every other day. It's a strong recommendation for those with a car, as it's located in a tranquil village about a 25 min-drive away from the center of La Spezia. You can park your car in front of the hotel for free. There are also nice options for dinner in the nearby town Aulla, a couple of minutes drive. The host lady was so motherly that she even offered to fix something for the road when we were going to leave early the day of our check-out! :)

The property and castle were stunning. The castle is immaculately clean and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was abundant with lots of choices (yogurt, local fruit and preserves, honey, meat and cheese, bread and sweet cakes). Check in and check out was easy. The views from the terrace were spectacular. It’s an extra cost but worth it to order their aperitivo. It was delicious!

Ivana and Alan are amazing hosts! They attended to our every need and we left feeling like family! The cooking class was so much fun and informational, and the meals prepared by Alan were amazing. Ivana was extremely helpful with planning activities in the surrounding area and they were so patient when we arrived later than expected for dinner. Breakfast was delicious and they were so helpful adjusting times to fit our schedule. Our only regret is that we only booked two nights so we are already thinking of planning a return trip in two years for a longer period of time.

My husband and I are extremely pleased with this stay. Everything was great. The customer service of the staff was exceptional. The location was great. You breathe pure oxygen. it’s so natural. Also, they have a restaurant and the food was special. We highly recommend it.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
The establishment is superb and the village is nice. Everything has a rustic or historic character to it. Being located in a small village, it is very quiet.
The bed was comfortable for a good night's sleep. The host is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the balcony with the best croissants we've ever had was a big bonus.

The room and bed were comfortable, and we were given a quiet room as requested. There is a good restaurant on site, with attentive staff. The breakfast was good. The hotel is conveniently located for walking the Via Francigena, as we were doing.
