The rooms, the bed lamp that glows even when the room is completely dark. The food, the staff the property everything was so nice about the place. It's in the middle of a small coffee estate, very green. Rooms look nice. Mohan the caretaker took great care of us and the chicken curry we had here was tastier than all the eateries we tried in Madikeri.

Property was neat and clean. Hosts were very friendly. It was like visiting a relative's home. We went with our extended family, everyone liked the stay, food and the peace we had in Shila homestay. During the stay, we also visited the private waterfalls within the property which added to our excellent experience. Highly recommended.

But lack of management, pathetic buggy service, cleanliness not good- in rooms as well as restaurants and even washrooms..
Rooms very basic, bathrooms are horrible-no hot water, hand towels, floor mats or towels,very slippery floors in the bathroom, dangerous for elderly people..
Besides having a unique location, amazing food, a private waterfall and superb spa facility, its a world class hospitality and kindness shown by every member of the resort, something to treasure for a long time!
By far the Best resort in Coorg. Fabulous location, the layout, private cottages surrounded by lush greenery, impeccable service by ever smiling trained staff and delicious huge variety of gourmet food. Will certainly come back again.
Lovely place! Great location, beautiful large & very comfortable rooms. The shared terrace is also an asset. We met some lovely people on this terrace! And the host is very friendly, helpful and caring. I have not been well for a few days and the host checked in on me to be sure I was fine. That was really sweet. A place with a heart! ❤
We had the most rejuvenating experience at this property. The view is breathtaking. The resort has a private waterfall within its property. The staff, the restaurant, the activities (pottery, bonfire, magic show, tribal dance), the facilities, the rooms, all are impeccable. I have slept like a baby for all of the 4 days that we stayed here.
