Had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It is situated in a peaceful and scenic location, offering stunning views from the rooms. The rooms and washrooms were very clean and well-maintained. There was a slight delay in food service, which can be improved, but overall, my stay was excellent. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Perfectly located hostel, indeed by a stream in a secluded valley, with super friendly staff. My private room was a really nice small house next to the stream running through the valley. The local cafetaria and bar are cool too. Depending on the crowd, some nights are really nice to socialize. It's close to the local bird reserve. I found this place to be much more reliable than some of the options listed on Booking nearby which seem to be a scam of sorts.

Hidden heritage hotel with such quaint views. Rooms were well maintained and beautifully done. We got the stonewall heritage room which was lovely and charming. It is walking distance from picture palace and Mall Road so ideal for those who want to be in the centre yet in a quiet place. Go for this without second thoughts.

We are in the over 55 age bracket travelling about and don't normally book backpackers. Shalom staff were extremely welcoming, it is comfortable, clean, friendly and in a great location. There are sociable spaces and also areas to sit quietly and enjoy the excellent views across the valley. The staff are knowledgeable about the area and fun. We highly recommend

Great location and great hosts. The food we ordered was a bit oily, but still very tasty. It was an amazing experience to stay in a mud house surrounded by greenery and magnificent mountains. The room we stayed in was very clean.
Perfect location on Mall Road, not far from the city centre but still quiet. Wonderful views from the rooms and a cozy café which is suitable for working (it was empty most of the time except for us). We spent one week working there to escape the heat and that worked out very well.
