We spent very nice days with Sylvy, Babu and their family.

Great little tree house room with everything you need. The room is in the owners’ garden and they have made a real effort to create a special place to stay and a great dining area outside too. The views are beautiful and the food provided was very tasty

We were upgraded on arrival so had lovely views of the tea plantation from our window. The roof top restaurant was lovely we ate here every night, portions were large enough to share between two.
It was out of town so you do need to have access to a tuk tuk which they can arrange or you can book your own for a similar price. We booked the martial arts close by, massage at Nature and Lockhart plantation walk, factory tour and tasting as well.
If you need a tuk tuk for the day our driver Sharan was very good +919048798018 he also took us to a local waterfall to swim Pulimala.

One room had a musty smell or something else unpleasant.
Like there was nothing to dislike, but for what we paid, the rooms are not worth it. Everywhere else in India we paid half as much for this type of room.

A must visit boutique hotel during your visit to Munnar. The hotel itself has a charming and cozy vibe and is situated just a few kilometres outside of the main city centre, perfect to escape the hustle and bustle and soak in the beautiful landscape of munnar. The staff were all very helpful, especially the property manager Mr Manoj who personally took us around the property to show us the mini garden within the property. He also made sure that we were well taken care of during our stay.

There is a short steep hill and then a flight of stairs leading to the room.
The room was clean, the bed very comfortable (thick mattress), and the bathroom had hot water (even though there is no shower). The Homestay is 10 minutes away from city center on foot, but on the plus side it's really quiet at night, even during high season. The host and his son were both available and very helpful.
I had a wonderful stay at Maharaja Cottage. This is located in old Munnar close to great restaurants (must go to Sree pure veg Restaurant) easy walk to the main centre. Close access to trekking. Roby and his staff are amazing and very accommodating. Room was clean and quiet. I had a small medical issue and Roby sent for my medicine. Roby was so kind and caring and a great host. Absolutely would recommend
Quiet area. We had a private room which was large and with a beautiful private balcony. Kitchen available to cook our own meals. Host gave us lots of tips for things to visit in the area including hikes, he’s very knowledgeable.
Manoj is a great host. He treats his customers with care.
He walked us through the villa and made sure we are
well acquainted with the insides and surroundings.
Since we just had 1 day to roam around Munnar, due to time constraints, with our request he advised right places.
You can also book your food from the villa if you can't go out. You can have wonderful pics from the terrace of the villa. Thanks Manoj, we hope to catch up again.

Great location if you come to Munnar without private vehicle and rely on public transport to discover the region. Central and quiet at the same time, unusual for Munnar. Great balconies at the back to relax after a full day of hiking.
