I had a nice stay near the village (close but not too close; I walked to town and met neighbors daily). I also met fellow travelers - and ventured with some.
I visited the caves and the double decker root bridge, yet also met many warm open friendly Khasi people (adults& kids) - even played football, 😊

For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
It is very well maintained and a pretty homestay. Best part is the view of mountains from the terrace and also the it is located walking distance from the main market so you will get everything you need. Also people need to know that Cherrapunji is a village and you won’t get luxury here so don’t have high expectations but you will definitely get all the basic amenities and delicious food.
The quiet and peace. The staff were very pleasant and professional. Special Thankyou to Linda Hynniewta for taking care of us. The food was good. The towels, blankets and bedsheets were clean and neat. The rooms were kept very neatly as well.
Nice hotel, we had great experience and we all enjoyed a lot during our stay. Great ambiance and staff is very good at their work and well trained.😀
Specially Bob from Reception. He is very helpful.
Is 2 minutes from Orange Roots, a must try for continental food!
Good parking space for car and great location.
Most welcomed I ever felt in a very long time. Great host. Felt like home with their home cooked food and heart whelming hospitality. They even provide guide for the double route bridge hike. Will surely visit soon again.
Yai was a great host, great to chat to with deep knowledge and experience of his area. Would have liked to have more time to discuss with him but I had limited time in the area. The accomodation was awesome value and great location to explore local area and venture into deeper Meghalaya if you are comfortable using local transport or have your own.
