It was nice to stay in a little dignified Irish village like Silvermines. Far from the madding crowd of Dublin on my way to Shannon airport.
I also felt my car was safe outside which is important to a driver.
Helen was a chatty personable Irish host but not intrusive nor over familiar. I liked her professional approach.

For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Good value for the money we spent. The host is kind and friendly; the place is quiet but a bit far from facilities (restaurants at 7 km). Breakfast was good. Beds were clean and comfortable, bathrooms not so clean and very small.
One of the friendliest places I stayed in during my trip with a warm welcome from my hosts and the offer of tea or coffee, apple tart and bicuits in the sitting room. I followed the recommendations for a walk which also took me to the remnants of the mining past the next morning after a big breakfast with the best scrambled eggs ever.
Had my private little bathroom and slept very well in the comfortable bed. Good internet!

The host was very welcoming, kind and friendly and the fresh apple tart and tea on arrival was an added delight. The bed was very comfy and the room very clean. Breakfast was self service and everything was provided - cereal, bread, fresh fruit, cheese etc The area was lovely and quiet and I would have no hesitation in staying there again.
The room is cheap and comfortable for a night and the hostess was amazingly nice and made an effort for a nice included breakfast, a nice talks and explanation of the area. She was also very flexible with the arrival time.
Helen gave us a really warm welcome. High tea on arrival excellent fruit cake and apple tart. The room was very comfortable with ensuite shower. Fabulous views and quiet location for restful stay.
