Sligo Bay Lodge, hotel in Rosses Point

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Sligo Bay Lodge provides accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi.

The property was very clean and warm. This was one of the first things I noted when we entered the property. We booked a sea view room and it was absolutely gorgeous. The view was spectacular and the room had lots of space and a huge bath tub with views of the sea.

Tranquility, hotel in Sligo

Offering a garden and city view, Tranquility is set in Sligo, 1.3 km from Yeats Memorial Building and 1.6 km from Sligo Abbey.

My parents were well taken care of at Tranquility. Their room was warm and prepared with tea and coffee even by late arrival which we were grateful for being accommodated for. Everyone's good night of sleep was ensured and Celene is a very kind host. She even helped to drive us to the train station. Even if the accommodation is a bit off the centre, the location is relaxingly quiet with a nice view and lovely staff. Would definitely recommend!

The Coachhouse @ Kingsfort House, hotel in Ballintogher

Featuring a garden and views of garden, The Coachhouse @ Kingsfort House is a guest house situated in a historic building in Ballintogher, 13 km from Sligo Abbey.

We enjoyed a nice light breakfast brought to our room by our host Michael each morning. Michael renovated the coach house, very well and tastefully done. The Shower was lovely. We enjoyed playing with Juno their dog. Michael was a wealth of information, places to see and things to do. We enjoyed our evenings at Moran’s pub across the street, Hi to Mary Moran! The only issue we found with the "bed" was not the beds themselves, they were very comfortable but as we discovered throughout the rest of our journey through Ireland, no matter where we stayed, 4 star hotel, Airbnb, etc. the comforters were too warm. And the comforters are your only option for a cover while sleeping. I would still stay at the Coachhouse again in a heartbeat, I felt at home. A very quaint and peaceful place to lay your head.

Excellent B&B. Warm hospitality from Marita and Ian. En suite room modern and clean, very private and quiet. Selection of tasty breakfasts. On elevated site. Stunning up close views from dining room of Benbulben and beautiful panoramic view of coast line. Haven’t stayed in B&B in a few years but wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Very competitively priced compared with local hotels but with personal touch. Only a few minutes drive to main road N15.
