Davmar House, hotel in Cork

Davmar House is located just 800 metres from Blarney village, with its famous castle, gardens, and woollen mills.

David and Margaret are the ideal hosts: there if you need them. David was very helpful with directions regarding driving through Cork City. We needed a very peaceful and quiet place to stay, and Davmar house was ideal. Great location, very close to Blarney, and about 20 min to half hour away from Cork City (depending on traffic). Love the concept of a separate "tea room"! Also our bed was so comfy. I don't have any hesitation in recommending Davmar House to fellow travelers.

Belvedere House Cork Guest House, hotel in Cork

Belvedere House Cork Guest House is set in Cork, 3 km from Cork City Hall, 3.2 km from Cork Custom House, as well as 3.4 km from Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral.

I stayed at the Belvedere during a previous visit back to Cork so I knew it'd be a great stay. Excellent price and in a very convenient part of the city with close access to bus routes. Being from the area originally, I know my way around, but the easy transport access is certainly beneficial for tourists. Very comfortable rooms, great WiFi and a decently sized TV to keep you entertained on the standard rainy days.

The hotel is very charming, in an old building with a waterfall in the yard. Shops, clubs, pubs and restaurants are nearby, the city centre is 5 min by walk. Aircoach to Dublin in the same street. Breakfast was very good and not expensive. Wlan worked very well, the beds were comfortable. I got a quiet room on request in the 3rd floor (well isolated window). I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here for a couple of nights in visiting CUH (hospital) to visit a relative. Staff were pleasant; the room was well-appointed though the bathroom was dated. Charming old building, wonderful location in downtown Cork. Really quiet at night time which was appreciated. The Imperial is a classy old-style hotel in a great location. Nice view to the front of hotel from our room and the windows seemed well sound-proofed from traffic noise.
