We liked how central it was to the shop's, bus/train station, and we also liked how nice the lodge was, very clean, excellent shower, and comfortable bed.
Locals were extremely friendly, if you are the type of person who struggles with communication, or interactions with others the station lodge will be perfect for you as you are given a code to get into the accommodation.
Bus to Ross's point & strandhill beach are literally 5 minutes away from the accommodation if you want to visit.
Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Sligo Bay Lodge provides accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi.

The location is excellent with beautiful tranquil views of the island and water from my room which was at the front of the building. Decor was suited to the area. Our host was very attentive. We enjoyed the little balcony sipping Prosecco in the evening after dinner. We would definitely stay here again.

The house and garden are beautiful. The house is kept in its old landhouse flare with old furniture and very nicely decorated in that spirit. The beds are very comfortable, rooms and bathroom clean and cosy. We had a great view from the window, saw the mountains on the one side and direction see on the other. The beach is only 400m.
The owners are super nice and helpful. On arrival we got some tea in the tea room/salon, the breakfast is homemade (even homemade jam, delicious!)
Should I be back in the area, I will definitely come back! :) Thank you

Great location room was massive , really clean lots of extra touches in room between toiletries , fridge with water lots of goody’s to enjoy with tea and coffee , fabulous breakfast , caoimhinn was so helpful , will defo return 😀
Super place, excellent location for Yeats country and Sligo in general. Probably best self- catering we have stayed in in Ireland. Easy access to a main road but quiet.
The cottage was very cosy and comfortable for our 3-night stay. Beds were great, kitchen was well equipped, living room was lovely with a nice warm fire and no TV or wifi - bliss. The cottage is on an estate and the area surrounding it is very quiet and peaceful.
