We loved meeting Fiona, the owner, and her dog Paddy and Paddy's good neighbour friend. We loved the remote cute area above the harbour where the Lookout was located. There was a very friendly pub within a 3 minute walk down a little hill which served food in the evening. The area was very scenic, with cliffs and waves crashing on the rugged shoreline. There were a number of walking trails nearby, which Fiona described in a booklet in the room.

The venue is everything you would want in a country house hotel. Location is excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful, the venue is an adult only facility,. so it is nice and quiet and the view across Castlehaven harbour is serene.

The room was spacious and loved it had a fridge with wine and pop. Also loved that they had chips in your room as well as downstairs with more wine etc , on the honorary system. We loved sitting on the balcony at night as well as having our morning coffee out there as well. Very quiet lovely place
Our stay couldnt have been more perfect. The castle is beautiful as are the views from the room. The bathtub was a great luxury. We loved the scenic walk around the castle grounds. Great breakfast too. All in all, a real treat and perfect getaway.
