Our room was beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The private bathroom was clean and well stocked with luxurious towels. We arrived late and didn’t get to meet the owner. I neglected to leave a note of thanks for all the special touches included, like a listing of area restaurants and what their specialties were. There was a separate dining room where coffee and tea was available “24/7”, although we were too tired to take advantage of it. We appreciated the water and crystal glassware left for us. So thoughtful.

John was the perfect host. Excellent breakfasts. Great insights into where to go and what to do. He engaged in long conversations on everything from local entertainment to thoughtful comparisons of history and governments. My room was comfortable; it had a great view. A shared common room had even better views, and it was great for planning the next several days. I stayed for over a week and will return.

my girlfriend and I spent two nights here last week. We were on a low budget exploration of Ireland. It was easy to reach by bus 980 from Dublin. From the main bus stop in the twon you walk only 12 minutes. So we could enjoy our drinks in town and later walked "home". The taxi was quite cheap but we opted to walk into town. The place is clean and you get breakfast. Pascall, the gentleman who served us is a cool mature man who is particular about healthy foods. For instance, he has low fat and low sugar food for breakfast. We quite enjoyed the home made scones, the calm environment and peaceful home-like hospitality and facilities. This is a to go place when in Carrickmacross and nearby towns like Ardee, Dundalk, etc. We are planning to make is our regular weekend or holiday place.
Opposite the Beechill College, The Meadows Bed and Breakfast is just 2 minutes' walk from the Hillgrove Hotel and 8 minutes' walk from Monaghan town center. Free WiFi access is available.

A wonderful place to stay. While I was here I became ill and Ann and Martin took care of me as if I was family. I can never repay their kindness, but I promise to pay it forward❤️.
They are the epitome of Irish hospitality and the reason I keep returning to your beautiful country.

Super cute spot and very convenient to the train station. It's a bit of a walk to the main part of town. Not terrible, but if you're on foot this might be a consideration for you.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
This B&B was one of the best where I ever stayed. The house is beautiful, the surroundings very quiet and Ashling is an amazing host. Our room was cozy, nice and spacious. Bathroom too had all we needed and perfectly functional. We have been offered a great breakfast with lots of choices. All is pointed to the guest care and the ambience is very familiar. We loved the short time spent here.
An absolutely beautiful bed and breakfast. The bed was so big and comfortable. The room was spotless and the shower was great. Everything you need was there. Ashley did everything to make our stay Perfect. The breakfast was great. Fresh Fruit , different kinds of Bread and she even did sausages for me although she didnt have to. She was so kind. We had an amazing stay and we will definetely come back again.
A lovely big room, beautiful decor and private ensuite. Very comfortable bed and a pot of tea provided by host on arrival with real milk. Good breakfast with good supply of fresh fruit, choice of cereals and fresh breads. Very quiet location in a very pleasant estate and easily found, good directions sent by host.
Super value for money, warm welcome from the lovely host family, very comfortable beds, great shower, excellent breakfast, funny cats and lovely dog. Convenient location within walking distance along lake Muckno to the Main Street in Castleblaney with a selection of cafes, shops and bars. A 5min drive to the Restaurant “The View“ which has a stunning outlook over the lake and fantastic food. We would highly recommend staying here. We enjoyed our stay very much!
