Good host (Dong&Siska) for being so informative on suggesting where to go,where to take a ferry,they also provide bike rental.The room is nice and in front of the stay got a good cafe for me to find for breakfast,lunch or dinner..those solo traveller might like it because the cafe got live band performance twice a week and I didn't mind the noise coming for it honestly because I can still manage to sleep peacefully safe and sound due to the whole day spent moving around the island😂

The location and beautifull view and the traditional house
Maruba Inn is a lovely little guesthouse, a little bit away from the bigger resorts and guesthouses and from the street. This makes it a great, quiet and private place. Our room had an amazing view over the lake and a wonderful balcony. The bed was amazing, the room very clean and there was hot water for the shower. The location is very central, it’s only a little walk to plenty of bars and restaurants around.
Great guesthouse, the family is lovely and very helpful. The cheaper rooms are basic but big and very comfortable. Has access to the lake in a quiet area. Their food is really good. Difficult to find anything better for the price. 100% recommended
Really nice vibe, very relaxing and quiet. Room was very clean and big, lots of space with big balcony and living room area. Would definetly recommend staying here over some of the cheaper options.
This hotel is on great location. It closed to many restaurants. Aside from that, they also have quite spacious car parking area. Our room was clean and cozy, but the veranda has many fallen leaves (no problem). Great morning view. They have their own private pier for those who left their vehicle at Parapat. Also, when high tide, you will have private pool which connect to Lake Toba. The breakfast is also considered good. And they also give you free basic amenities.
Booked without realising that out of season, this is the best place to be in town. It’s very quiet kind of a place but that’s it’s appeal to us, just guests relaxing and easy to meet people. Excellent lake side location, staff were helpful , plenty of food choices, cheap.
The location. Mas Cottages is situated just outside the city centre, which makes it a quieter accommodation at the lakefront. Downside: it makes you a bit more dependent on the (facilities of) the accommodation.
This was a great little place to stay in, had two swimming pools, was very quiet (but not at the weekend) to stay in if you did not want to head out. Great location and very romantic place at night by the lake. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast every morning had good fresh fruit, the owner even offered to get more of what we wanted if we ask. Overall we really enjoyed staying here and would recommend.
