Sougia is a kind of world's end. We looked for immaculate nature and great hikes, but also found top notch service and excellent food. Costas, the host, keeps the apartment and restaurant at the highest level of cleanlyness and quality. The beauty of nature and sea around cannot be described. For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
It’s great location on the sea front with their beach bar just opposite. Generous sized balcony in our room with sea views. A room next to reception to leave our cases for the day that we left as we were on a late ferry out.
The room was large and a beautiful organic aesthetic. All amenities were provided. The private pool was delightful. Spa series were an expected treat. The staff could not be more charming, energetic or helpful. An incredible experience all around!

Although by the road, it is quiet as very limited traffic. It is one of the hotels furthest from the sea but it's only 5 mins walk on a quaint quiet road and the room is very well appointed with good Aircon. Nicely kept patio and garden areas. Welcome water and cake much appreciated. Would recommend.

Wanda is a great host and looks after the apartments well. We liked being a few km from the coast , great views, quiet and a cooling breeze. If you get a taxi to the top of the Agia Irini gorge you can walk back direct to Spiti Mas. Not too far away (about 30 metres) is a lovely restaurant serving proper Cretan food with a smile.
The apartment was exceptionally clean, with great facilities. Our host was very welcoming and friendly. The homemade biscuits and bottle of wine waiting for us were a lovely surprise! Great location as it's extremely quiet without noise from any restaurants/bars or other accommodation, and you're only 2 minutes walk from the beach.
If you are looking for super luxury this is not the place for you but Pension Irene is charming, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well located. The host is so kind and an absolute delight. Sea view rooms look over the side street and down to the beach- the balcony is a great place to sit
The host was extremely helpful and friendly. The private courtyard was lovely to sit in with complimentary wine after the journey to Sougia. The hotel was on the edge of town so rather quiet and peaceful. It was only a few minutes stroll to the town and the sea.
