The location was excellent walking distance to everything.And the accommodation was very nice, the place had 2 patios, which I enjoyed Kostas the owner meet me at the town square the day I arrived which was really nice of him, made things easier for me. If I ever I get back to Syros I would definitely wants to stay At Villa Maria again.

Amazing place! I will definitely return and recommend to friends. modern, spotless, quiet and super comfy. only thing lacking for me was a kitchen/more utensils, but that is just a personal choice and if you are happy with just a fridge and coffee then it is MORE than great! Would highly recommend staying here! Very friendly and attentive staff, and an excellent location (right by the ferry port and bus stops).
This is a slightly quieter part of town, but you're still very close to the action if you want to be. The room was modern and beautifully furnished, and also very clean. We received a hamper with local food upon arrival which was lovely. The property also provided us with an excellent list of local restaurants, many of which we tried and which were all amazing. The bathroom was huge and felt very luxurious, and included lots of special details. The airconditioning worked very well, and I saw that the apartment also had central heating so it would probably be very cosy here in winter as well!
As we are young we didn't mind the staircase down to the bathroom and toilet (this was a feature specific to our room, the 1864) - however, this might be something to be aware of if you're older and have a lot of difficulty with steps. For us the staircase added to the charm of the apartment, as it meant that the bathroom was on an entirely different floor. It almost felt like we were staying in a house!
I also noticed that reviews for the other rooms were impressed by the soundproofing - our room was a bit noisier because it was right in front of a parking spot for motorbikes, so there was occasional noise when someone would leave or arrive. We didn't find this annoying, but if you're a very light sleeper you may prefer to book one of the other rooms at the property.
I would definitely stay here again!

I like the neighborhood because it was very quiet and very close to the city center. I also enjoyed the room being spacious and clean with all the basic amenities. I would like to have a balcony but I still believe that the price was really good for the place. I would highly recommend it to everyone that does not mind walking!!!

A beautiful old building that has been renovated to a very high standard with a contemporary design. Ten to 15 minute walk from the port and a small boutique hotel. Very friendly, welcoming staff - nothing was too much trouble. Great location close to restaurants, bars and shops but very quiet also. A great breakfast was a bonus. Would happily recommend.
