Immaculate self catering flat, very quietly located with private parking space..(Off road) so ideal if you have a classic or precious car ! Movement sensor helpful as it’s very dark in the village if you return at night.. A bottle of milk, a bottle of water, butter jam and marmalade was in the fridge with tea, coffee sugar and substitute were all provided, with a round white “ boule” of bread .. good basics.

This is an exceptionally well equipped, completely charming, spacious and comfortable glamping cabin, with amazing attention to detail and so many thoughtful touches, like homemade welcome shortbread biscuits and fresh milk on arrival. The kitchen is particularly good for accommodation of this kind, including an air fryer and all utensils and cookware you could need. Beautiful private deck and garden too. Lovely comfy bed. Stunning, peaceful location.

We enjoyed delicious meals for both dinner and breakfast at the pub, which had a lovely atmosphere. Room was comfortable, quiet and we had good night sleep. The proximity to Montacute House and the charming village provided excellent opportunities for enjoyable walks. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience.

This is a good value hotel in a great location for those visiting local attractions (Fleet Air Arm Museum, lots of nearby National Trust properties etc.) or heading Westwards on A303. I assume it was initially the village pub but now more of a Restaurant/Bar with Rooms. I did not eat in the Restaurant as I had made prior arrangements in nearby Ilchester. Room was comfortable with nice bed and a desk. Nice quiet village setting but not far from main arterial road.
