Frank and Susan are fantastic hosts. Aware we had been cycling all day, they got us checked in and settled in. Frank booked us a table at the local pub 2 miles away and because we were on our bikes he drove us there and picked us up afterwards, amazing service! The room was clean, warm and comfortable and breakfast the next morning was a treat.

Great location, very picturesque with a river running along the front. Good food and great hosts. They even sent us home with a dozen freshly laid eggs when we told them there was an egg shortage where we lived.

We stayed in the Honeysuckle room which was very handy for us, we enjoyed the breakfast very much, although the fresh fruit that was cut up did not seem to fresh, noted no-one had helped there self to it on the last day. The evening meal was very expensive, we had it on the first night. It would of been better if you could of had another choice that was cheaper, don`t get me wrong, all very nice. Spa meals were fine, but much the same.

A lovely old inn- quaint and full of character. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated in keeping with the character of the 16th century inn. It is in a great location. The breakfast was excellent and the new owners really nice friendly people. They made you feel welcome. Would have no hesitation recommending the Rising Sun to friends

Its so quaint, in an idealistic setting. The countryside and suggested walks and drives are scenic. The bathroom is modern, yet the pub and bedroom is quaint Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
