Very comfortable room, which was also spotlessly clean.
It is a very friendly hotel, which is community owned and community focussed. It's lovely to see how busy the bar and restaurant are in the evenings, being the main place where people living in the village congregate. It was a pleasure to see this, and experience the positive "vibe" that this gives. Great staff, who communicated promptly ahead of our visit, and who welcomed us very warmly.
The restaurant menu offered great choice, including vegan dishes.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean, linen was fresh, bathroom faultless. Coffee, tea, water, tv and wifi, all available. It was a quiet peaceful space in a home setting.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
We normally book with Premier inn at Taunton, but it was not available on the dates we wanted. Holiday Inn express was cheaper, and included an excellent breakfast. Facilities were superior, had a bar, and food was available on site.
Loved our stay as was so quiet and peaceful. Loved having a fire by the river. Bathroom was basic but you had access to a luxury bathroom nearby so all good.
