At Caledonia, hotel in Douglas

Overlooking Douglas Bay, At Caledonia is nestled in the centre of the city of Douglas.

The stay was during storm Eowyn, lots of cancellations going on but the comms from the hotel were top notch, a message to confirm I was still able to make it but late, confirmed, no issues. On arrival collected my key and headed to the room. Spacious, clean, warm - everything that was needed. Standard coffee supplies for the following morning, a bathroom that was functional with great water pressure and good hot water. Seriously no complaints. Free Wifi was fast and there were no drop outs.

The Breakfast was varied, filling, fresh & tasty. The accommodation was spacious, remote, different, and better than our usual accommodation. Mike, our host was friendly and welcoming. The location was quiet and very scenic. Central to Ayres Point or The Sound of Calf.

A stunning remote rural location in the middle of the island. Mick and Nicky were great hosts to us. Our kindly upgraded room was spacious and stylish to a high end. Lots of walks in the beautiful glen and countryside right from the property. We loved sitting out on our sun terrace in the evenings with a glass of wine. The amazing breakfast was just perfect to start the day.

Stunning, tranquil location, with a stream running through the back garden. Mick and Nicky made us very welcome and they were very helpful too. We liked the space in our room, which was more like a suite. Good wifi connection. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice and even smoothies on our last day.

Beautiful place with amazing facilities! I’m such a great location, so quiet and peaceful! Also the best time of the year to go with all the little lambs outside in the fields. Amazingly kind hosts, felt very well looked after! Bed super comfy but my favourite part must have been the bath, so original and different! All felt very luxurious and posh!

Excellent B&B with a great host in Mick who attended to our needs perfectly. Breakfast was freshly made each morning. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect. Very quiet. Very rural but within reach of everywhere on the island as long as you have a car.
