Donald and Margaret ate excellent hosts! They accommodated my disabilities, picked me up at the ferry, provided wonderful, custom-ordered breakfast, and even a home-baked snack in the evenings. They were very helpful in giving suggestions and directions on ideas of what to visit on the island. The room was perfect for my needs.

It was a central location, close to the ferry terminal where I arrived at Stornoway (and easy to find- basically a straight walk down the road) but also a little secluded. for somewhere so clear to the centre, with its own little bay...
so it gave me a sense of the island.
The host was really friendly and interesting to chat with and the breakfast was really nice.

Our room had a view to the sea. Food was lovely. Particularly enjoyed their porridge options at breakfast which were delicious. We also enjoyed the share platter one night and then the amazing three couse dinner the next night. Overall a delightful experience, room, meals, and hospitality were fantastic, thank you Sue and Tom. Would come back in a heartbeat.

This is a very nice location and this hotel has everything you need including a maid to order breakfast, Scotland cuisine. The people working there were extremely helpful. There was a storm so they let us stay a little bit longer after the checkout deadline. That almost never happens in a hotel and was very helpful.

I’ts very beautiful and boutique with wonderful decor and well fitted out it’s suits myself, my partner and our dog so well. It’s a great location for accessing the town and the castle! The sauna is just amazing and the perfect t way to end a day after being out sightseeing, walking or just to relax in
Location and parking was main priority when booking, it was great. Off road entrance was nice and private. Lock box also very convenient and simple.
The flat was decorated really well, the bedrooms were nice and simple and the lounge was very comfortable (lovely couch!) Kitchen was fully kitted out- wasn’t expecting that but really appreciated it. Important info like the heating instructions were left out and simple to follow. Nice view. Quiet area. Really enjoyed staying here.
Cosy, clean, and quiet at night the stars are beautiful (sirus star seen shining bright above hut). Bonus of the washing and drying machine in the shed was ideal after a muddy walk. Great location, easy to walk into stornoway via castle grounds
Private space, with a great location overlooking Stornoway. Yen is a wonderful host, and I felt right at home - even packing me up with my own takeaway breakfast for the ferry!
