I loved the beautifully situated home of Catriona & Ian. Very cozy, clean and a very spacious room. I was accompanied by my dog and both Catriona and Ian were very welcoming. I loved the homemade brekkies and the little surprises such as homemade brownies in the room. Very very nice! Would definitely recommend :-)

The property was very clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. Thoughtful extras were provided like home made cake in the room upon our arrival, milk, juice, cereals, teas, coffee and hot chocolate. Plus an amazing breakfast cooked by Vicky each morning who was a great host and also provided us with handy travel recommendations for our trip.

The house is in a perfect location for exploring Skye. Directions are easy to follow from the main road. Even without a loch view, it was a great place to be fully satisfied. There's enough space for all guests to park their cars overnight.
Our late check-in (due to the breathtaking views and, of course, the "must" of taking pictures while traveling from the airport) was smoothly managed by the hosts. We received a text message with full instructions—thanks for that!
The room was spacious enough for us, and everything was clean and cozy. There were plenty of sockets to plug in your chargers and other equipment.
Breakfast is well organized, with guests able to choose their preferences each day to avoid food waste. Despite limited choices, we were satisfied. The food was delicious, fresh, warm, and just prepared.
Beds were very comfy and big enough.
Heating was fully operational to get the cloths dry overnight.
A loch view from the common area was amazing.

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
- Magnificent view on the sea, our window was directly on the meadow where sheep were peacefully eating the grass. It's a remoted area of Skye, but it's so worth it

We loved our stay at Barnweil! It’s location is beautiful and peaceful. Johnny was a great host, so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Very clean and comfortable room with a beautiful view out our loft window. The Stein pub was great too.
Vey nice, comfortable place with a great host, Johnny. He makes one feel at home and also prepares an excellent breakfast. The location is peaceful while superb for seeing some of the top attractions of the Isle of Sky over several days without too much driving. We have stayed for 3 nigths and hiked/visited, in our order: the Old Man of Storr, Stein village, Nest Point, Dunvegan Castle & Gardens, Claigan Coral Beach, Quiraing, Fairy Glen, Fairy Pools, and Portree, and various stops on the way.

Great location, calm environment with a spectacular view. The Byre itself is lovely renovated and has everything you need to feel welcome and at home. The interior design is a perfect mix between modern and cosy. You can see and feel the attention that has been payed to every detail. It was super clean as well 😊
Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy the nature.
