Very homely feel to a traditional country pub/restaurant and hotel. Had dinner and breakfast here, both were very enjoyable and at a reasonable cost. Staff were all welcoming, polite and efficient, and I would definitely book again if we return to this area.

So much….; the host was thoughtful and hospitable, the room and home was a well restored/preserved scene from the past, the breakfast was outstanding (host in an ex professional chef) … and the views were gorgeous.

Very good budget accomodation above a really nice local pub. I think there are only two rooms, so if you have a room each you are only sharing a bathroom with your fellow guest. Also has a kitchen, handy for a late night take-home. Landlady was lovely and showed us how to access rooms after hours. Room clean, bed comfy, price excellent. Little bit out of town centre but only £4 in an Uber. I'd stay there again.

The Rose was an ideal stop over for us going to a wedding at the Fleece in Barkisland just 7 mins away. Lovely spacious room, very well presented with lots of little extras such as fruit, chocolates and a fridge with cold water and milk. Very comfortable bed and very quiet. The hostess was lovely and friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Amazing breakfast with local produce . Parking at the property which is always an added bonus.

The room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and plenty of extras. As well as the usual coffees and teas, there was a choice of fresh fruit and sweets. Everything was very clean. The shower was good and as well as towels, flannels were provided. Parking was easy. Stephanie the host was very welcoming. The breakfast was good quality. Lighting was good and having USB charging points was helpful.
Lovely welcoming hosts. Allowed us to drop car off early, so we went off to enjoy the day. Excellent bus service so left car parked up. Fruit and chocolates in the room. Fresh milk and bottles of water in fridge - which was very quiet! Lovely fresh cooked breakfast.
Fantastic renovation of an historic Georgian property. Stephanie was extremely welcoming, room was very stylish and comfortable with lots of little extras like great choice of beverages, sweets, and fresh fruit. Breakfast was nicely cooked and served in dining area overlooking the walled garden.
