A beautiful little community pub, with a fantastic history. We were met with warmth by Peter who was engaging, interesting, and most helpful. Great ales on draught with plenty of variety. Happy hour is a great idea, the placed with life, creating a fantastic atmosphere. You can really feel the community spirit and commitment from the staff to making our stay a fantastic experience. Food was great, and a hearty full English served at breakfast by Rachel who was full of energy and cheerfulness, taking great care of our every need. Rooms were fabulous, comfortable, clean, perfectly decorated.

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Only stayed one night on a work trip, but really enjoyed it. Funky place with quirky decor, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. It was mid-week so no bands and quiet.
A spacious room well equipped with a small fridge for fresh milk, orange juice and water. Comfy bed, a hanging wardrobe with a soft dressing gown provided. Lots of snacks including fresh fruit. Such thoughtful hosts. Even wipes for my glasses. Separate private bathroom clean and also well stocked. Shower in bath but suitably powerful. A Yale lock on the door if you felt you needed it. Quiet neighborhood.
