Needing a late check-in (ie after 9.30pm), the hosts were more than understanding and very welcoming once we arrived. Very straight forward in showing us to our room.
Breakfast was marvellous, and hosts warm and friendly

Lovely location including extensive view of Mill pond from bedroom window. No need to bring car, excellent bus service with stops very near property. Deborah is an excellent host who offers local information and suggestions for trips around the island. We spent a very relaxing week at Ivy Hall and hope to return soon.

Excellent breakfast, lovely room, comfortable bed, good night sleep, very relaxing time….Perfect
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Breakfast excellent - generous portions and choice. Location central for everything, and easily reached from ferry terminal. Room spacious. Fridge in room with fresh milk, orange juice and cold water, as well as quiet fan, really appreciated. Agnes and David were wonderful hosts.
Extremely clean, great location to walk to Newport centre. Breakfast provided by Agnes was perfect (well cooked eggs and quality bloomer for toast). Room size was above average upstairs with nice little touches (biscuits, a Tassimo with a few pods, water and fresh jiuce/milk). The bed was super comfortable.
The host is simply wonderful. Agnes is friendly, welcoming, and very communicative. Detailed information was sent directly to my mobile in the days leading up to our stay. We couldn't have wanted more. Everything about this B&B is high quality; there is not one item that failed to remind you that the host doesn't do 'cheap' or 'make do' for their guests.
Perfect place to stay while visiting the isle of wight. Agnes and David are great hosts and made sure we had an enjoyable stay. It's very central so makes a good base to explore, there's also a supermarket about 5 mins drive away. The room is comfortable, and there are a lot of small thoughtful touches where you can see a lot of thought and effort has been made. There is also plenty of parking.
David and Agnes were great hosts. Felt like part of the family . Outstanding breakfasts. Noise from traffic affected a good night's sleep.Tho closing windows helped tone down the sounds.
Great B & B with very helpful and friendly owners. Agnes cooked a superb breakfast. David gave us a large amount of info on the island which was most helpful. Nice room in a good location. Good bus service outside and an easy walk via a quiet footpath into town. stayed a full week and would book Ponders End again if we return to the Isle of Wright.
friendly , quiet beautiful surround gardens, close to the town
