The Old Crown Inn, hotel in Rotherham

The Old Crown Inn offers pub accommodations located in Handsworth, Sheffield. The inn features an on-site bar that hosts live entertainment every Saturday night from 21:00 to 01:00.

This is a homely place. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff are very accommodating and warm. I stayed on a Saturday night, so I treated myself to Sunday lunch. What fabulous homemade food at such a good price! I highly recommend this place for a taste of authentic Yorkshire hospitality. It's a yes from me.

Queens Ground, hotel in Rotherham

Located in Sheffield and within 4.5 miles of Utilita Arena Sheffield, Queens Ground features a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi.

Great hospitality! Room including toilet and shower were meticulously clean and had everything we expected. Tram stop is quite close to the pub. The blue and yellow tram lines really give you an easy hop on & off and pay only once for a day rider ticket experience to get in and around Sheffield. You need about 20 minutes to get to the Cathedral tram stop in the center of town. Pub itself definitely seems to have an intriguing history and is currently being run by a kind and really helpful family. I would certainly consider staying here again if I'm in the area.

Great location, we came up for swimming competition at Ponds Forge, hotel really easy to find from motorway and very simple run in to Ponds Forge. Staff were the friendliest of any hotel we’ve stayed in. Friendly, helpful, kind. Breakfast was fantastic, we got full breakfast but if staying g again might just get co to mental as this covers everything apart from cooked breakfast. Lots of fresh fruit/melon/dried fruit, cheese, meats, breads, pastries etc

Wow! I spent the weekend here at the Welcome Inn and was welcomed by receptionist Louise. She was most helpful and extremely supportive with assistance!! THANK YOU!! I had a twin room, which was clean, bright, well ventilated, and instant heater if required for cold night,it was also quiet in the hallways. The Welcome Inn is not far from the Sheffield city centre, and Meadowhall!!! With Receptionist Louise, I was able to navigate to local supermarkets and places to eat.. I WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING!! Worth the money!!

The rooms were clean, tastefully decorated & well set up with what you’d need ….. but most of all the beds were amazingly comfortable!! 😴 We were staying whilst visiting family & the hotel is situated in one of the nicer, leafier areas of Rotherham & was quiet. It’s also close enough to the town centre for cheap taxi rides after a night out! 🥂 The facilities/housekeeping staff & night-porter were lovely, friendly & very helpful. I would definitely stay again & would recommended to family & friends.

Second time to stay here, clean, modern, comfortable hotel. Definitely need transport due to location but it suited our needs as there was plenty of parking and quiet. Didn't use the gym this time but did last time & it was good enough. Staff are friendly if a bit understaffed at times. Overall I'd recommend it if you are not bothered staying outside Sheffield city centre. I would stay here again.

Claims its boutique but it's not really it's just got a silver bed with some tacky plastic buttons on the basic and no option for breakfast another claim there is a restaurant they're not open and the place to seems to be run by a bunch of teenagers I just like to play the music loud, Rotherham it's a sad town with a dead city center and it's gonna take a lot more than this hotel is to rise above what is currently going on with ever stay there again it was a gamble
