The Palmerston Rooms, hotel in Romsey

Offering a garden and garden view, The Palmerston Rooms is situated in Romsey, 13 km from The Mayflower Theatre and 14 km from Southampton Guildhall.

The owners were friendly and helpful, and wasted no time showing me to my room when I arrived and bringing breakfast the next day. The room itself was great, and the bed was incredibly comfortable after a long day travelling and attending a wedding. Breakfast itself was lovely; I was asked what I would like and at what time the day before, so when I came down to it is was waiting for me. Really set me up for the day.

Charming 16th century inn in a delightful small Hampshire town. Well-appointed, quiet location, friendly and helpful staff, extensive common areas and comfortable bar. Only slight fly in the ointment was that the room, which called itself a 'superior' room, was smaller than anticipated.

Closeness of Guesthouse to town centre without being too close. Privacy of room. Quietness - room was away from road and high up. Kay and Graham couldn't do enough including taking up and bringing down case at start and end of stay -very much appreciated as room was on 3rd floor. Excellent breakfast and everything spotless.
