Helen and I had 2 nights stop over at Washton Springs and had a truly wonderful break. Our host Jane catered for all our needs and put on a wonderful breakfast in the morning for us. We seemed to be able to drift about the place as if staying with a relative. If you visit you'll meet a little resident 3 legged cat who's a real sweety and I would have loved to take him home with me.

We absolutely loved everything. Our room was spotlessly clean and tidy. Very warm and cosy. The bed was very comfy and we had a very peaceful night's sleep. We loved having our breakfast delivered to the dining area outside our door by Mark at the exact time we asked for and the breakfast was delicious! Both Mark and Nicky are very friendly and welcoming hosts and we absolutely love their little sausage dog, Cooper. Richmond itself is just a couple of minutes away in the car with a good choice of shops, restaurants and free parking in the square. We really loved our stay and would definitely recommend staying there.

We managed to park right outside the pub- which was a bonus and the landlady explained the town parking situation to us straight away, to avoid getting a ticket.
The pub was very lively when we arrived, possibly due to it being 'mad' Friday, but we couldn't hear anything from the room.
We had to climb 2 flights of stairs for our room, which wasn't a problem for us, but might be worth bearing in mind if you are not too mobile. The view out of the window over the town and castle was fantastic.
Breakfast the next day was nice- full English, cereals, toast (lots of) and tea / coffee.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
I would definitely stay there again.

Quaint old cottage (refurbished to modern standards without losing its charm) in a very pleasant location, quiet, situated in a picturesque village alongside a stream flanked by village greens and historic properties, neighbours a bit close but not a problem. Very nice pub (free house) only a short walk across the village green.

The pub is in a beautiful location, in a small village with views across the Yorkshire Dales. Rooms are quirkily but nicely decorated in bright colours. We had the room with a separate (private) WC and bathroom, not en suite, which was a bit cheaper than the otehr rooms. On balance, I think it would have been worth paying the extra for an ensuite room with a bigger view. Breakfast was very good - and plentiful. Staff friendly and helpful.
We stayed as a couple on a bed and breakfast basis. The staff were very welcoming, and the hotel fitted out with quality carpets and fittings. Our room had tea making facilities, a nespresso coffee machine, tv, iron, hairdryer, etc, and the wifi was good. We didn't dine in but had a lovely breakfast both mornings. Private car parking was available for £10 per night.

Lovely quiet property in great location. Great hosts who were very welcoming. Excellent breakfast with good choices. This was our second stay here and we will certainly be back next time we visit Richmond.

Mark was a great host. Room was clean and comfy king size bed. Tea & coffee making facilities with mini fridge with fresh milk. Seperate seating area. Good shower. Great location 5min walk downhill to the centre of Richmond.
Breakfast is served in the private seating area adjacent to your room.
Bring your slippers as a no shoes policy however new slippers provided at the entrance. Free fast WiFi.

We loved the cottage it was immaculate and very very comfortable. a luxury cottage in a perfectly quiet setting .great location and easy to head to the Dales , into Richmond or further afield if you wished.
The owner was on hand if thre had been any issues. a fabulous property and will def return for a longer stay next time.
