The place has seen better times. The pub at the front of the property is boarded up. There was no staff on the property when we were trying to check in. There was a phone number that we were supposed to call, but we didn't have a local phone. Luckily someone offered to call for us and were were told by someone on the phone which room was ours and that the key was inside. It worked... but we never saw anyone who worked there. Tiny bathroom. It is probably what I should have expected for the price, but it wasn't as nice as I was expecting from the reviews.

I believe we had room number 1, overlooking the cliffs, a pretty pitch and put, and views of the seafront of Portpatrick. Beautiful large bay windows provided an expansive view and a lovely place to kick back and relax. Parking was easy, on the street right outside. Granted our visit was somewhat in the off-season, or coming into it, I would imagine this town is booming in high season and would expect ease of access may change (This is why we always try and travel off-season, miss the hoards:). Breakfast was excellent, my partner and I are vegetarian and my parents are not (who also stayed), we had so many options and everything we tried was superb!

Great location, right on the harbour front.
Plenty of free parking on the nearby streets and around the harbour wall.
Good value for money and an excellent breakfast.
Very helpful and welcoming staff. Great location on the harbour in a quaint listed building.
Simple menu but great food, most meals could be made gluten free including fish and chips which was a bonus.
The hotel is under new management and they are working in upgrading the rooms
Our room, had just been refurbished and was really comfortable.
Please note, the small room is small, so if you need a little more space select a standard room. For our overnight it was fine.
Great location for Cairnryan and the town itself is very sweet. The price for bed and breakfast was very reasonable, the room was clean and comfortable. Staff extremely friendly.
Staff nice and friendly
Downstairs deco really nice but very dated up stairs.
Great location on the cliff, we walked down to the port for a few drinks.
We stayed here before we got the ferry, for the cheap price we got it for it was fine. But I wouldn't stay more than one night.
