The hosts were very friendly and gracious. We've arrived by bikes, through a pouring rain, so the host took my wet clothes and shoes and dried them overnight. They provided extra blanket upon request. The breakfast was delicious and well served. There was a good level of amenities and a feeling of comfort throughout our stay.

This is a building that was a hotel in 1711. We love staying in old lodgings like this. It is in a quiet little village within a short drive of many attractions. The host, Debbie, was wonderful and spoke of local sites to see.

The house and gardens are beautiful. It's in a stunning location and the rooms are spacious,bright and comfortable with everything that you need for your stay. It's close to Wigtown and many other attractions. Leslie & David ( & Reuben the 10 yr old Red Setter) are so accommodating and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Great choice of food at breakfast also. A perfect place to base yourself for exploring this area.
