Set in a beautiful location, this unique property is undergoing renovation which is ongoing and has been done very tastefully. The room is spacious, yet cosy with a big comfy bed. The host was very welcoming with great communication beforehand and very helpful during my stay. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked. I ate in the Great Hall which is fabulous, but you can have it delivered to your room if you prefer. Good wifi which was important as I stayed here in a work trip, no issues streaming or accessing my work files.

The location in the farmland was beautiful. Walks in the green fields with many sheep and cows. The accommodation was comfortable, good bed, quiet, sunny sitting room looking out over the hills. Walks on the coast are easily accessible and there are a number of good restaurants in Castle Douglas. We appreciated the hospitality of Irene, who was taking care of the guests.

Excellent breakfast, great location and a beautiful region with lots to do. Don't miss a beer at the Clachan Inn and take bikes to explore the area if you can.
The host Hazel was so welcoming! The house and gardens were beautiful. Tasteful and comfortable decor. Everything was spotlessly clean, the bedding and and towels were high quality. Comfy bed. Breakfast was great - enjoyed the fresh fruit salad, cooked breakfast - and the linen napkins.

Beautiful house tucked up a private leafy lane. Located on the outskirts of the quaint village of New Galloway on the edge of the Galloway Forest. Fabulous friendly helpful host for whom nothing was too much trouble. Amazing breakfast. Great wifi. Lovely summerhouse.
