Brunton House was an extremely pleasant experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our mattress was a little hard for my partners hips however, this was easily remedied by the addition of a mattress topper. Hilary was very helpful in this matter. The continental breakfast was always tasty and frequently replenished, plenty of fresh fruit and pastries. Lovely coffee as well. Brunton House is easily placed for walking into the city centre and is on the main bus routes if you require we like walking so we felt easily placed to visit new and old locations we had seen before. A lovely stay many thanks.

Claremont Guest house is situated away from the busy station area, on a quiet street (about 15 minutes walk). Our room had a view of backside alleyway where local people come in and out, which made us believe that we are almost locals! The guesthouse has all the collection of artifacts on shelves and in cabinets and portraits of various famous people are hung on the wall (the owners laughed that the are not related to anyone of these people). The staff (probably the owners) were quite hospitable and prepared our hot breakfast, and kept our luggage while we visited Edinburgh Castle.

The hotel was quite simple, yet very comfortable. it was away from the hustle and bustle of the city which was nice. The distance to coffee shops or shopping was very manageable if you like to walk and we do, so it worked out very well.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Beautiful property, so cosy. The staff are all amazing. Great location and easy access to so much with a car. Very nice restaurant with a great menu. Room service also available.
The cottage is twee however I was expecting that, its charming and in keeping with the period of the property. The garden is indeed beautiful and being in time for the tulips was an extra bonus. Great location for exploring Edinburgh and East Lothian.
Great location lovely view, quiet area. Felt like you were abroad with the great balcony overlooking the sea. Well equipped kitchen. Added extras like cleaning items etc a real bonus.
The Ship Inn has been totally transformed. It now provides quiet rooms (amazingly, above a noisy bar) very close to the city centre at a quarter of normal prices. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommended.
