There wasn’t breakfast, it’s advertised as bed and breakfast you pay for bed and breakfast yet on arrive you find out via a fact sheet that due to Covid breakfast won’t be provided, if I knew that before I would have stayed somewhere else

Great hosts. Very personable. Offered coffee, tea, soda and beer upon arrival. Same are available free in community fridge. Room leaves nothing to want for. Plenty of outlets, good lighting, even built in USB outlets by one side of bed. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Wish I could rate this higher than 10.

Despite the age of the Inn, it is beautifully appointed and charming. Since the Inn is closed Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays, we weren’t able to take advantage of the wonderful food we hear they have. Food is available about 5 miles away. We’d definitely stay again!

Lovely comfortable location with friendly and very accommodating staff
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Everything was great. Away from touristy and noisy cities this is a perfect place for taking a breath. Or two. And if there's something dare to disturb this little paradise - call for Dean and he will immediately getting it out of the way. Great host. Great place. Great stay.
The cabin is very well kept and equipped. The location is lovely, very quiet and colse to a beautiful wood where I had a lovely walk with my kids. More importantly Dean is an excellent host. He did make us feel at home and provided everything we needed. I would strongly recommend this acomodation. And by the wway, thank you Dean!!!
Not just a bedroom, you get a whole suite of living room - we had an amazing view too- plus kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Lovely selections of teas in the kitchen plus biscuits, sweets, soups, hot chocolate and fresh milk. It’s quiet but right in the center of Montacute with 2 pubs in walking distance. And the breakfast was great, brought to the room which is a nice touch.
Carents House is a great B&B! We were attending a wedding locally and this was a perfect choice. Lovely quiet village location, friendly and welcoming host, spacious comfortable accommodation with lounge area and kitchenette, and an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.
Very clean room in a lovely old pub, great secluded beer garden. Nice friendly staff. Didn't eat here, but the food looked (and smelled) really good, nice vegan options. Good eco-friendly notices up. Great location for Montacute House and close to the A303, didn't have any problems parking close. Very quiet room, and the pub dog Trix is a total sweetheart. I would definitely stay here again.
Diana hosted us extremely well at Carents House. We had a very comfortable night in this cosy apartment, and enjoyed having dinner on the balcony ( M & S in Yeovil). I particularly liked the feather bedding ( just like home!) - far more conducive to a good night’s sleep than a polyester duvet! Quiet, friendly accommodation with excellent breakfast. Eggs are from the hens in the garden.
Super breakfast, great choices. The room is more like an apartment, comes with a small lounge with patio doors out to a private terrace, lovely outlook to the church, smart TV, WI-FI, kitchenette, huge bed & on-suite, all situated in the centre of a charming historic village a short walk from Montacute house. Dianne our host couldn’t have been more helpful many thanks for a very pleasant stay.
