Sherry and Lauren are fantastic hosts who go above and beyond to make their guests feel safe and welcome. I have a food allergy (egg) and to make my breakfast look a little less empty they replaced my egg with extra sausages and bacon!
Rooms are comfortable and warm with private toilets and showers and the location is only a short walk from the town center. My room came with a refrigerator so I could store drinks and medicine in a cold environment, tea and coffee facilities, and plenty of towels, soap and shower gel. On a few other stays the room I was staying in had a microwave as well, so if I felt like having a lazy day with a microwave meal or reheating a coffee, I could :)

The Wayside & Whisky Barn ticked all the boxes. First class service, super comfortable beds, a beautiful roaring log fire in our bedroom and of course an amazing selection of over 150 whiskies.
Not forgetting the delicious breakfasts with fresh home baked breads, plus we had a fantastic 3 course meal followed by Irish coffees on the Saturday night, total perfection. We will definitely be back soon.

For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
A gorgeous stay and a very friendly sheep dog to greet us when we arrived! Our dogs loved playing in the paddock with him too.

Great location - only about 30 minutes from Scafell Pike, also a local beach area and some very nice pubs. Down from the main road so lovely and quiet at night too.
The location of the caravan was, in my opinion, excellent - right in front of the lake, offering a beautiful view. On the lake, there was a floating water obstacle park that looked amazing. A few doors down, there was a bar, which again was a great location for a drink followed by a walk home. I found the bar to be lovely and quiet.
Great location - the accommodation was very clean and modern, with everything you need. Very quiet, but with enough facilities all in walking distance.

The lady and her daughter were very welcoming 🙂 The food was very nice i.e. breakfast and homemade cakes! Its a bonny bed and breakfast which I would recommend if staying in millom. Well priced and cheaper compared to others.
