What a lovely little break we had at The Miners Arms!
The staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. The room was fresh and clean and stocked up with, tea, coffee, biscuits and soft drinks. There was also a basket of hygiene supplies in the bathroom which was an added bonus.
Included in the price was a lovely breakfast that consisted of a choice of cereals, fresh milk, orange juice, a choice of hot drinks and then a cooked breakfast to follow. The first day I chose a sausage bap whilst my wife had toast and the next day we opted for a lovely Full English.
In the evening we were welcomed by the locals to join in with the monthly, fun pub quiz and a game of Sticky 13's, a card game that resembles Bingo (which I was fortunate to win a round).
Our absolute favourite part though was, meeting the resident dog, the gorgeous Ronnie. He was kind enough to let us take him for a walk and showed us all round the local village.
Many thanks to Trevor and Julie, for making us feel so welcome. This is one of the friendliest places we have been fortunate to stay at and we will definitely return.

What was not to like . If you like old historical buildings . We were welcomed by our host on arrival . Our room was large,& airy , with tea/coffee/biscuits etc. lovely atmospheric breakfast room., plus a large secret garden. The weather made it even more enjoyable. Beautiful quiet, hamlet, with lovely views about a mile from Matlock
We booked this b&b because of the rave reviews it got. It deserves all of them. It was a magical place. Great location and the inside was just beautiful! We loved the family room (comfy beds, super clean, it has everything you could possibly need). Michael was very friendly. I could have sat in the breakfast room all day… the view, the decorations.. we loved it all.

Friendly and helpful host
Amazing bathroom with excellent shower
Accommodation was homely with everything we needed, very comfortable and in a great location. It was so peaceful and quiet there too whilst only a short walk to the village.
The lady who runs it was lovely and friendly and welcoming could tell us the history about where we were staying and the area we were in the room was really lovely and in keeping for the period of the manor. The bed was a super king 4 poster bed very comfortable lovely quiet and secluded area the lady showed us around the secret garden where you could sit in the evening or in the daytime. Lovely cooked breakfast lovely fresh fruit salad to go with it choices cereals will definitely be staying here again
The location was perfect for us - so quiet (just the sound of birds!). A charming home full of family treasures, care for the property and its history.

A great find for people who like the historic side of the UK
This is a bright, spacious and very comfortable apartment. It is in a great location, tucked away on a quiet street just a couple of minutes away from the main street and is perfect to enable the exploration of the surrounding area on foot, by bus or train. Maureen is a lovely host and communication was excellent. Highly recommended.
A charming cottage in a great location in Matlock Bath. The property was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space for our family. Detailed information was given about location, parking and check-in. It was a lovely place to stay.
