The interior exceeded how it looks on the outside! The rooms were lovely with great view over the harbour, v clean and warm, with a cosy sitting area. We had booked both rooms so had the place to ourselves. Sharon and Callan were lovely and friendly. The restaurant meal was very good - chef Callum knows his cooking - the confit duck leg was exceptional as was the other dishes we had - halibut with Pernod sauce and Kohl Rabi, crab in a spicy tomato sauce with homemade tagliatelle. Deserts of Drambuie crème brûlée with blueberry compote and Chocolate Torte with blood orange sorbet. A delightful but too short stay. Thank you for your hospitality - would love to come back 😊

Rhenetra, hotel in Mallaig

Set in Arisaig and only 32 km from Glenfinnan Station Museum, Rhenetra offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Beautiful place, very calm and peaceful, with incredible sight on the landscape. Such a suggestive location. Near this area there are many locations from Harry Potter movies, and you can guess why! To visit skye there is the ferry, weather permitting. Otherwise it's very complicated to go on the island, better have a backup plan. But the area offers so much that it's worth risking it. The host was super kind and all was perfectly clean and tidy. A very cozy stay in a beautiful setting

Off The Hill B&B, hotel in Mallaig

Offering a garden and garden view, Off The Hill B&B is located in Isleornsay, 24 km from Kyle of Lochalsh and 38 km from Eilean Donan Castle.

This place is so so so cute and cosy. We stayed here for one night only but honestly we kind of never wanted to leave ever again. Everything's super clean - even the carpet throughout the house, thanks to everyone being asked to leave their outdoor shoes in the hall by the front door; there's an adorable little dog, the beds are insanely comfy, there's free snacks and a large variety of teas in the room, and the most gorgeous breakfast conservatory/patio situation decorated with the owner's own, beautiful landscape photography (a lot of which is for sale) and overlooking a little garden that features herbs and flowers and beyond that, rolling hills dotted with a house or two and a bunch of sheep. Despite it being only a half-hour drive away, this place feels like an altogether different world from the slightly overcrowded Portree area, with a night sky unlike any other, conveniently visible from the skylight windows. The (in our case vegan) breakfast itself was absolutely delicious, too, featuring freshly cooked mushrooms and tomatoes and lots of home-made jams and (also home-made!) granola. It cannot be overstated that the (incredibly kind, generous) owner runs this whole place on her own. It's an absolute gem and we cannot wait to come back.

Incredibly views! Serene, quiet, secluded lovely spot on Skye. The host was incredible and we loved the homely feel of the place - especially the loving little pup Paolo. The breakfast was delicious and presented beautifully. 10/10, highly recommend!

Staff attitude. Although check-in was supposed to be 4pm - to me very late! - I was upgraded and allowed to go to my large room with great views of the Isles at 3pm. There was no hair dryer in my room, but the charming Brazilian member of staff I accosted found me one. (He should have a bonus!) The bathroom was large but there was no shelf. Breakfast was outstanding. I had continental - lots of fresh fruit salad, cereals, pastries, juices and no hot drinks machine!

It was very quiet and comfortable in great location. It had everything you need. The outside seating was lovely given fantastic weather. The kitchen though small had lots of gadgets! We liked being in grounds of the church and were grateful for croissants etc…

Great location just a couple of minutes walk from train station, very friendly and fantastic food (the homemade curry of the day was exceptional). the single room was cosy but had everything I needed and a really comfortable bed. I had to leave early and the cooked breakfast is not available before 8, but they made me a lovely granola/ yoghurt/ fresh fruit breakfast to put in the fridge in the room, so it was perfect.
