Green Grove Country House, hotel in Malham

This 160 year-old cottage is set on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in Bell Busk. It offers spacious accommodation with countryside views, 7 miles from Skipton.

Excellent breakfast and very friendly hosts. One night was rather hot and a fan was provided, and a sheet to cover us rather than the duvet. The property setting in the Dales countryside was beautiful and peaceful. There was a pleasant outside area for sitting, with chairs and a small table, overlooking the fields.

The location was on Cove Road very close to the Pennine Way and Malham Cove. Really quiet, on the edge of Malham village, with a private parking space. I met the property owners, who live next door, and they reassured me that I could ask about the property or area. Beautiful views from the property and a garden to sit in. Everything was comfortable and with thoughtful decor.

Great location with free onsite parking. Doors were closed on arrival but we were able to leave our car and take a walk, checking in on our return. Room was clean, quiet and bathroom had been refurbished. Host worked hard to provide customers with breakfast, on his own !. Good choice of cold and hot food.

For the money it was a great place to stay. It's a hostel so dont expect luxury. But it was clean, beds were comfy, the kitchen was well equipped, and the staff were helpful. They sold a lot of things in the shop as well, and rented towels which was helpful. There was also a bike shed which was helpful. Its a quiet area great for walking and cycling. A little bit off the Way of the Roses route if you're cycling, but not too bad,
