What a lovely stay we had at Swan House. It exceeded our expectations and we would liked to have stayed longer. In a good location, we were very comfortable in the en-suite room with a kitchen and sitting room. Immaculately clean and the owners couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. And the welcome pack was thoughtful. The complimentary cooked breakfast was very nice indeed. Lots of parking - set back from a main road and very peaceful. A first class stay - thank you!

Edale House B&B, hotel in Lydney

Built in 1835, this elegant Georgian house has been an Accredited Visit England B&B for over 25 years, overlooking the cricket green in the charming village of Parkend, invites you to relax and unwind...

The location was excellent, right in the heart of Parkend. I booked a room at Edale house for my elderly parents - we had originally booked a cottage for me, my wife and my parents, but as my parents are elderly they found the stairs very difficult. Edale house provided a ground floor room and were extremely accommodating at very short notice, and my parents loved their stay.

Grove Farm B&B, hotel in Lydney

Featuring a garden and views of river, Grove Farm B&B is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Newnham, 23 km from Kingsholm Stadium.

We loved everything - Penny and David were wonderful hosts and the B&B is gorgeous. Beautiful views from every angle, ample parking and a perfectly cooked breakfast each morning. We would often get back after a day out to a fresh pot of tea and delicious homemade cakes. We stayed as a family exploring the Forest of Dean. The location was perfect with direct access to the A48. We were able to store our bikes in the barn while we weren't using them which was an added bonus. Beds were super comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed. We will definitely stay again in the future!

Brilliant staff, couldn't do enough for us. Accommodated our bikes, helped with luggage. Excellent tasty and good value evening meal. Excellent breakfast. Room a bit too hot to sleep, could do with air con. Mattress quite firm, ended up sleeping on top of the quilt.

For a change now days with a booked room, we felt is was good value. It was never going to be a luxury night but actually was perfect for a stop over. Clean, good size, all the essential basics. Liked the ground floor with own access. Next to a police station so our cars were safe. Quiet
