The welcome each day, the friendly atmosphere in the bar. The beef pie 🥧. The location was perfect for our walking. The ample freshly cooked breakfast and the beer.

Ideal base for walking in the Derbyshire Dales. Good breakfast, very convenient having evening meals available, enjoyed the range of beers from the on site micro brewery.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
The room was big and comfortable and away from the pub, so no bar noise etc, however I was located in a downstairs room & you could hear the person above walking across the room quite loudly. Clean room and bathroom, & comfy bed. I think the price was a bit much considering you had to pay extra for breakfast, but all in all it was a nice stay in a quiet village with parking and decent food.
Great location, wonderful views, clean and peaceful.
Couldn’t have asked for a better getaway, it had everything you would need and we didn’t want to leave.
Definitely top of my list in the future.
Gorgeous house and great location for exploring the local area. We were very well looked after by Jonathan and Jane, including with absolutely delicious vegetarian breakfasts and fresh cookies in our room. They were very knowledgable about walks in the local area, which we found helpful (and there is fantastic walking directly from the house). The room and bed were very comfortable. We loved meeting their friendly dog and cat too!
Lovely cottage, great location in a beautiful village and well laid out for self catering with good kitchen off the living room, comfortable bed and great shower. Great walks in the area, excellent all round .
great location for exploring the surrounding area. very quaint olde village and next door's shop has everything you may need. hopefully the soon to be re-opening of the refurbished pub will add even more useability for those staying at the property. offroad parking outside too.
Great hosts who go out of their way to make you feel at home.
Spacious bedroom plus the use of a comfortable guest lounge and delightful gardens. Private parking.
For breakfast, there is a large selection of fresh foods to choose from including cereals, juices, fresh warm bread, cheeses, eggs, waffles, croissants , pancakes, homemade jams, fruit etc etc. The breakfast is offered as a vegetarian continental style meal.
The property is located in the centre of the village and is an ideal base for touring the area.
