Check in was great and the staff are so friendly, taking the time to chat and make a fuss of the dog.
The room is small but well appointed and feels secure with the integrated key pad lock. Lovely linens.
Dinner on the first night was good although the restaurant was almost empty which was a shame, as it lacked atmosphere.
It's great to have the access at the rear, without traipsing through the bar.
Location is good, nice and close to Edinburgh without the cost. It was pretty desolate when we were there so we probably didn't see the best of it.

From the greeting at the inn to my father's departure everything was 1st class. My father said it was like staying in a five star hotel, very comfy bed, great shower and lovely clean, modern room with tea/coffee facilities and some tea cakes his favourite 😍 also had complimentary water both still and sparkling. Never heard any noise and slept very well.
