The Lady Maxwell Room at Buittle Castle, hotel in Kirkbean

Featuring a garden, The Lady Maxwell Room at Buittle Castle features accommodations in Dalbeattie. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking, and free Wifi.

Set in a beautiful location, this unique property is undergoing renovation which is ongoing and has been done very tastefully. The room is spacious, yet cosy with a big comfy bed. The host was very welcoming with great communication beforehand and very helpful during my stay. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked. I ate in the Great Hall which is fabulous, but you can have it delivered to your room if you prefer. Good wifi which was important as I stayed here in a work trip, no issues streaming or accessing my work files.

Kirkwirral Guest House - not self catering, hotel in Kirkbean

2.5 miles from Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club in Dumfries, Kirkwirral Guest House - not self catering provides accommodations with access to a sauna and hot tub.

Very friendly, super clean, fantastic decor, very high standard, bed was lovely and comfy, fab pillows! The hot tub was great, easy to book your slot/s, if like us it was a great start and end to a day. The hubby found the sauna to be an added bonus!! Fantastic seating areas by the river, very soothing to listen to the water rushing by, there is a lovely little summer house outside too, we would love to visit again in the summer. The biggest healthiest chickens in the front garden, don't forget to take them some grapes! Super breakfasts, and the smoothies were delicious, all in all not a bad thing to say about this fantastic little guest house!!

This newly renovated church ⛪️ done to a very high standard guest house was beautiful. The room, private bathroom, was lovely. The bed is very comfortable. With tea/coffee available. The host was very friendly & informative. There was a good range of freshly cooked breakfast as well as fruit juices tea/coffee and cereals. The host went above and beyond our expectations. It's well worth a stay at this beautiful place with a lot of history surrounding it.

Dawn and Ian so welcoming , great location and lovely comfortable room ,a real home from home . Large garden area which is perfect for exercising the pup and on warm dry evenings , enjoying a glass of wine . Bonus was the ev charger which we were the first to use ,definitely a plus point for ev travellers ,reasonable cost and easy to use . It's a tether free box so you need your own cable which most evs have . Type 2 connector 7.5kw . Definitely have the scottish breakfast ,excellent!!!

The chalet was in a great location, was dog friendly and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. This included, a great pub, The Steamboat Inn just a short walk away along the beach. The log burning stove kept us cozy even when the weather outside was stormy.

The cottage is cosy and warm in a great location to access the beach, woodland and fields for walking. Great fo spotting deer and lots of bird life on the coast. The garden is sunny, private and secluded. This property is great for quite, contemplative time. Beautiful I love it and so did my dog.
