The owner has thought of everything, a real home from home (if my home was ever as clean as the Pods/facilities! ) The most clear night sky seen in a long time.

Friendly welcome and a cosy clean pod. We had an amazing view looking out to sea. The pod was well equipped and totally charming. We were able to really relax and enjoy our stay on this beautiful island. Very close to gorgeous unspoiled beaches as well.
Martyrs Bay Rooms is located very close to the Iona Ferry terminal, maybe two minutes walk. Excellent central location - just a 5 minute walk from the Abbey. Our room was spotless clean and quiet. However, the true highlight was the host Sandra herself - a genuinely kind and caring host (not "business" friendly as most are). And the breakfast, which was the best we saw in Scotland - with fresh fruit, the best scones ever and everything I could want.
Immaculate - both the pod and the communal facilities. The owners had given lots of attention to detail, to make living in a small space much easier (e.g. the design of the kitchen facilities, ability to sweep out any sand we brought in from the beach). We loved the way the pods were arranged so you had your own space away from the other pods. Such peace and quiet, too!
We loved our Pod. Warm, comfortable, quiet, well equipped and great bathroom and washing up facilities. A short level walk to the ferry terminal, pubs and spar shop one way, next to the 'hill', lots of sheep, a sea eagle, cows and friendly people (but not too many of them!). Will is a fantastic host, friendly and helpful.
