A lovely warm welcome from Michelle (and Mac, later). The premises are an old converted house and stables so narrow, steep staircases and creaky floors which give great character. My room had an entrance area (where the tea and coffee making facilities were located) then through a door into the bedroom. Nice bathroom and then shower room at the back. Fun see-through kettle, nice array of tea and coffee sachets, biccies and chocolates. Gorgeous and very generous breakfast; eggs royale with two poached eggs and a huge portion of smoked salmon plus a lovely continental section.
Set in Ashby de la Zouch and only 15 km from Donington Park, The Cedars Ashby offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Everything was wonderful; staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. I travelled with a pet and elderly mother with mobility issues and were looked after extremely well.

As we are very interested in history, the farms location was a delight and the history about the area from Jenny, the host, was an added bonus.
The house was full of character.

Lovely little place. Very comfy bed. Great breakfast (had the full english). Quiet. Nice part of the world. Susan (the owner) was a great host. Would recommend.
Having read previous reviews, we were not disappointed.
Susan, our host, couldn't have been more accommodating. Our room was beautifully quaint and very clean. We had a very comfortable sleep. The personal touch within the room added to our experience.
The Post House is straightforward to locate with its own private parking.
Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

we love it here, quiet and peaceful, easy walk to places to eat,. rooms are compact but immaculate with all you need, breakfast is always cooked to order with a fabulous selection. the private gated parking is a real bonus for us with classic cars, safe and out of sight. just excellent value for money. we will be back again soon
Excellent breakfast - very good quality and more than enough in quantity! Susan was an excellent host - welcoming and informative about the local area. Very secure parking behind locked gates. Room was very quiet and clean with excellent shower/bathroom facilities. Would certainly stay again in the future.
