The staff were all lovely - very welcoming and helpful.
We had lunch & dinner during our stay - the quality was good and it was value for money. The waiting and kitchen staff were patient and accommodating.
Breakfast was excellent - a good choice of both hot and cold. The fresh milk for the tea tray was greatly appreciated, as were the freshly baked biscuits.
The bed was very comfortable, the towels were soft & there was a good selection of toiletries.

What a great find. Can't imagine that we won't be returning. Incredible location, super friendly and efficient staff. Wonderful breakfast (may go for a smaller one next time!)
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
A lovely large room with an even larger bath for my wife and a very good hot shower for me. Being a pub on a Saturday night I expected it to be noisy, but it was really quite quiet, which was lovely. Firm bed very comfortable. A quaint character of the room was the sloping floor. Very amusing. All in a lovely village with shops covering everything. Definitely back next year.
Great location. Secluded but within a short drive or walk to the main village.
Quiet and comfortable. Adequate room to relax.
Kitchen with enough appliances and kitchenware if you wanted to cook daily.
Within good distance of good quality restaurants.
Clean and warm with a good shower to clean up after a good stromp over the moors.
Central location, comfortable and quiet. We had bed and breakfast, our food was cooked fresh to order. Carol and Frank were excellent host and had lots of local information.
Staff were excellent - very welcoming on arrival, friendly and helpful throughout. Lovely hotel in a great location. Excellent breakfast options and service.
Very comfortable place to stay and very quiet on the night. Had a great sleep. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of vegetarian choice. Beautiful garden and outdoor space and great location for exploring Helmsley.
