We had a fantastic overnight stay, the room was spotlessly clean, great facilities. A wonderful welcome from James, and a lovely kitchen if you wanted to cook for yourselves which was a surprise. Would definitely recommend a stay here and next time we visit family this is an ideal location for us.

Peaceful, well equipped and beautiful place to stay, everything you could need , the breakfast was plentiful, ready on the side and in the fridge for us to use whenever we wanted . We actually did great poached eggs in the microwave too, a revelation! Great selection of yogurt, cereals etc.

Quirky property in secluded and quiet area of Halstead. Lovely private garden and within easy walking distance of facilities. Very clean, light accommodation with a well equipped kitchen.
Quiet location, own parking space directly outside house on drive, unobtrusive host, very comfy bed, private bathroom, very clean, long mirror in bedroom, extension lead with multiple sockets in bedroom, small kettle and tea/ coffee etc in room, chain inside bedroom door, dimmer switch for main light, plus a reading light, a type of air con/ fan (so welcome), towels and many types of toiletries supplied in bathroom, a bath and shower in bath, again so clean.
A very pleasant little pub, with a very helpful mine host. Excellent breakfast. The room was fine and well equipped within a compact space. And quiet.
