It was a beautiful house set on a hillside with lovely views, which felt roomy and very comfortable. The bedroom was well decorated with plenty of storage space in solid furniture. The furnishings were very good. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was excellent, with large fluffy towels and big bottles of shower gel and shampoo. We had a great view from our window. There was a fridge with bottled water and fresh milk, and there was a coffee maker with plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The owner made us feel at home, gave us lots of tips and cooked an excellent breakfast. There was a pub within a short walk of the house, which served good food, and other eating places were not too far. Halifax was within easy reach and Shibden Hall was very close.

Facilities are excellent, staff are friendly and welcoming, pub & restaurant has a great atmosphere.
The room was lovely and tastefully decorated, the bed was so comfy.

The room is brilliant and it was a nice touch to have tea / coffee and milk waiting.
A special nice touch was to leave a packet of rolos and a picnic bar in the fridge.
Great location for us as we were going to see a band at the Victoria theatre so a short walk and a 10 minute walk from the train station.
Also to note nice and warm on entering and a lovely comfortable 4 poster bed.
Good communication by the owner / landlord.
We would 100% stay here again.

An unusual tucked away inn next to a river in a very quiet location but just 15 minutes walk from the centre of Halifax. The staff were lovely.

Absolute shot hole!
Noisey,scruffy,no batteries in remote,dirty room not clean,paid for balcony it was just a door window.

Nothing I go there the room was cold freezing no heating and hot water at all I try to call them hours no body answer after they text me back only tommorow they can fix its a joke they scammer after I go asda buy electric heater and they changed the pin so I can access my room my all stuff left there they didn't give it to me back I was on the street 2 hours text them please give back my stuff they didn't! I'm serious if somebody want il show them my conversation with him! The apartment was clean, comfy, spacious and a great location handy for the city centre.
It was good to have catering facilities.
Apart from some traffic noise outside, it was very quiet inside.
Great location, we watched a show at Victoria Theatre, 10minute walk into town or a few £ in a taxi. Lovely and quiet location too, tucked down a side street, no passing traffic or outsode noise. Cottage itself had everything we needed and more. Hosts made sure we had everything and knew where they were if we needed them - we didn't, everything was exactly as described. Would love to return soon.
The standard of the accommodation was very good with nice quaint but classy touches. The menu had a great choice and although not necessarily cheap the standard of the quality was spot on. If you have any room in your tummy For breakfast the full English breakfast was first class
Gorgeous boutique style hotel. Made to feel very welcome. Setting is gorgeous. Bar dishes and breakfast both delicious. I wish we stayed for a week! Only a few mins taxi ride to Halifax (we stayed for a gig at Piece Hall) so why would you stay at basic city centre hotels when you have luxury down the road for the same price?
