The food was excellent. The staff were efficient, friendly and kind. The location and the surrounding countryside were beautiful. The effort the owner made to make New Year’s Eve so enjoyable was above and beyond

This was our second visit and certainly won't be the last. Everything about the barn is simply superb. The comfiest bed we've ever slept in, lovely fluffy pillows and crisp bedding. The whole place is beautifully decorated and so warm and welcoming and spotlessly clean throughout. It's the kind of place you don't want to leave at the end of your stay. Megan is so lovely and really makes you feel at home. She's delightful and always has a lovely smile and a kind word. Also Peter.....thank you for the homemade Millionaires Shortbread. Delicious! We were there on New Year's Eve and found some Prosecco and chocolates in our room which was a lovely extra. Breakfast is also delicious with excellent produce including eggs from Megan's own hens and a choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, a range of teas and coffee. Vegetarians/vegans also catered for. I could go on and on but I'd run out of space. I think you can tell how much we love this beautiful place.

This was a Christmas present for my brother and his wife. I received a very unexpected phone call on the evening they were there, as they sat by the fire, saying how much they loved the place. The room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable and the food was amazing.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Charming and very cosy and comfortable loft, upper part of the quaint little cottage, furnished to a very high standard, with everything you could possibly need.
Just as the pictures show, right in the heart of the gorgeous village of Grassington. I had a great stay there and felt right at home, Thank you so much! (I did not meet the host, e-mail communication was fine. The keys were in a little box with a code). Several bus stops close.
Great location, comfy bed, quiet room, great bathroom .cosy and spacious bars and great link to All Creatures Great and Small . Beautiful scenery locally and lovely walking and cycling area.
Excellent position in the middle of Grassington at the end of a quiet alley. Ample private parking. A wide non-buffet cooked to order breakfast, which would satisfy anyone. A lovely quaint traditional building beautifully kept. Very friendly owners and staff.
Beautiful, private room, all amenities you could want with a friendly, welcoming host. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit and great choice of cooked. The house is on the main road but guest bedroom to the back and no noise despite having the window open, great views across the fields, and a couple of chairs to sit out should the weather be good.
Lovely B & B in a great location. Hosts were superb and breakfast was outstanding only reason we didn't give 10/10 was because hosts should make it clear Room 4, although it does have private facilities these are not ensuite. We would however make a return visit.
Owners and staff were friendly and knowledgable. Our room was impeccably clean and decorated to a good standard. Although decorated in a modern style it was sympathetic to the age of the building. Our room had its own private small balcony as a bonus. Breakfast was plentiful, with varied choice of quality food. Parking available. Ashfield House is quaint, in an idilic setting, just off the market square of a charming town in a beautiful area of the Yorkshire downs.
