Old, traditional and quirky style inn with a pleasant ambience and open fires; the bar area was bustling at times, but in a good way. The breakfast and evening meal were of a good standard.

Comfiest bed! Studio has electric radiator which warms everything up really quickly. Great space for my laptop where I could work. I slept really well through the storms. Own parking space and outside space.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
This is a lovely pub hotel. Historic, quirky, well looked after. It feels beautifully maintained and fresh whilst being sympathetic to its age. Evening meal delicious. Not cheap, but when the plates arrived each entirely justified their pricing by being special. Pub fish and chips never normally this individual and delicious. Breakfast matched. Staff were exclusively friendly, chatty and helpful.
The rooms were so spacious and decorated beautifully. The hotel is very charming and you feel really at home. Everything was thought about with a variety of teabags, oat milk and even calming spray in the bathroom.
Had everything I needed and more! Staff very friendly and accommodating. I had a great sleep and the location was so beautiful to wake up to in the sunshine. Exceptional value for money!
This is not my first stay at this hotel. I love the way the ancient structure has been preserved and is still in comfortable good use. We were very well looked after by all the staff that we met, and who served our excellent breakfast.
